Buñuelos -- Traditional Mexican Fiesta Dessert
I don't make these at home, but I've had them at Mexican Fiestas and even American County Fairs since here in California we have such a very large and growing Mexican population. When done well, they are very good and light. At school, one of our son's teachers taught the children to make an easy version by using a regular store-bought tortilla and just a bit of butter and oil in a frying pan.
